Welcome To The F***ed Up World Of BusinessCringe

Every BusinessCringe video takes place in a continuous shared universe, complete with returning characters, locations, and gags. While the topics change from video to video, they all exist in the same world. Here you can read about the messed-up characters that show up week after week.

More information is added regularly... or whenever theres time for it.

BigCorp Incorporated

This is the workplace all videos take place at.

BigCorp incorporated is a large multinational company involved in a number of ventures.

Their slogan is “Because we care”, which they adopted shortly after a 2017 lawsuit.

Over the years, they’ve been sued for (among other things) unethical business practices, rainforest destruction, and negligence toward employee safety.

Despite this, they continue to report record profits and record-breaking dividend payouts, while employee salaries have yet to keep up with inflation.

According to their website, their core values are "Transparency" "flexibility" and “forward-thinking”.

I'll let the audience decide whether they live up to those values.

Cringe

Cringe is the star of the show.

Cringe is… well, let's just say he's not the most constructive or positive-minded guy.

He has a bad temper. He's rude. He can and will find problems with anything under the sun. Doesn't matter how insignificant or minuscule.

Above all, he fucking hates EVERYTHING the corporate world has to offer. Job interviews, corporate jargon, pointless meetings, incompetent managers, Linkedin… we could go on.

Unfortunately, a guy’s gotta make a living somehow, and Cringe is stuck working at BigCorp with his incompetent coworkers.

Mickey

Cringe’s naive sidekick.

With his innocent view of the world, he tries to navigate BigCorp, Linkedin, and the rest of the corporate landscape. He’s convinced that a positive outlook and hard work is enough to advance his career.

Most episodes begin with Mickey naively assuming that BigCorp has his best interests at heart, leaving Cringe to talk him into more sensible ideas.

Because Pizza Fridays are an amazing treat, right? Applying for jobs in 2026 is a smooth process where everyone is given a fair chance? Corporate meetings are a great way to boost productivity, right?

He means well, but if left unsupervised, he’ll end up exploited, underpaid, and overworked.

It's a good thing he has Cringe by his side.

Brad The Sales bro

Brad is a salesman, or "sales bro," at Bigcorp. He is hyper-competitive and obsessed with status.

Because he brings in so much money to Bigcorp, he is sort of allowed to just... kind of do whatever he wants. The normal rules and policies don't apply to him.

Brad is a seven-time Salesman of the Year nominee and two-time winner. He is also a very good golfer.

CEO Long Johnson

The Evil CEO of BigCorp.

He’s a dedicated Linkedin user, who frequently shares leadership lessons, and reflections on what everyday moments have taught him about B2B sales.

He was one of the main architects behind the 2017 rebrand, when they adopted the slogan “Because we care”.

He refers to BigCorp as "one big family”, yet in the past 12 months alone, he’s laid off 17 employees due to downsizing, caused 10 cases of burnout, and convinced 6 others to accept pay cuts due to a “limited budget” (despite record profits).

He’ll make you work overtime without extra pay, use manipulative negotiation strategies, and expect you to reply at 10 PM on a Friday, in the name of “team spirit”

In other words, he's your favorite boss.

Bill from the third floor

Widely known as the "I'm about to lose my mind guy"

Bill used to be a really funny guy. He was artistic, always cracking jokes, and had a way of making everyone around him feel great.

But that version of Bill has been gone for a long time now.

Four years ago, he helped set up someone's password (Tom was absent). Since then, people started handing him task after task, and he gradually got burnt out.

In those four years, he's had three divorces with two different women. He’s been to therapy,  anger management, and numerous AA meetings.

Somehow every task ever gets put on Bill’s desk, because people know he’ll do it. As a result, he’s constantly stressed out of his mind, and one tiny mistake away from going absolutely insane.

Sarah from HR

Your typical cat lady. She’s 47, never married, and doesn’t have kids of her own - though she spends a lot of time with her nieces and nephews.

Most of her free time goes into reading self-help books and practicing affirmations. She’s big on “energies” and other made-up stuff like that.

Is generally viewed by her coworkers as an overtly positive annoyance.

Larry, the incompetent middle manager

Larry has zero clue how anything works. Like, absolute zero. The intern knows more than him.

He got the job 15 years ago, and since then, technology, and the business world, has changed significantly. Larry has not.

As a result, he's the least knowledgeable person in all of BigCorp. But he follows orders from Management without question, and gets paid well for it.

He tells you he’ll “get back to you” about everything - but he almost never does.

Somehow, he’s survived multiple rounds of layoffs and digital transformations, maily by just flying under the radar of accountability.

The corporate drone

Jessica is BigCorp’s most loyal employee. She knows the “Policies and Routines” manual inside out - and lives by every word of it.

One of her favorite hobbies is enforcing those rules on her coworkers, even though she doesn’t have any mandate to do so. If you don’t like it, you can “submit a request to management”

She proudly wears her company-subsidized apparel and is known for encouraging others to do the same - even though there’s no policy requiring it outside official events.

Jessica has accepted pay cuts more than once, and she genuinely believes BigCorp is incredibly generous for providing Pizza Fridays every other week.

Her most ambitious dream in life is to one day become a team lead.

Tom the IT guy

Tom is the glue keeping BigCorp together.

The entire company rests on his shoulders. Tom is the only person in the entire organization who knows how to reset a lost password, or grant a new hire access to their email.

Despite this, Tom goes through his day with little urgency. He's on site every Thursday, but even then, it's hard to get a hold of him.

In private, he’s known for his radical political views. He was a vocal supporter of the 2003 U.S invasion of Iraq - and still is.

Thanks to some connections in the Bush administration, he landed the job at BigCorp in the early 2000s, and has stayed on ever since.

Tony The Consultant

Tony is a very successful man. He works as a consultant, with BigCorp being one of his biggest clients.

After years of working with large corporations, he developed his own unique framework: IRRE. It stands for 'Increase Revenue, Reduce Expenses'. For this, he charges an impressive $4,000 per hour.

Tony is also a certified anger management expert and a renowned motivational speaker. Together with online guru and conman Patrich Getrich, he posts inspirational content about “making money and escaping the 9–5, bro."

Todd and Lodd

Todd and Lodd are the right hand men of CEO Long Johnson.

They're known for their corporate speak, and their inability to say anything negative about their boss.

Their only purpose at the company is to suck-up to the boss, to quickly snatch the next open leadership role.

They are unashamed to play office politics at the highest level.

Boomer Joe

Boomer Joe is, as the name suggests, a boomer. He’s also a financial advisor, and host of his own radio show.

He’s highly skeptical of millennials and Gen Z, firmly believing they’re lazy and entitled. He refuses to acknowledge that things were easier back in his day.

In Joe’s world, if you’re not a homeowner by age 24, you’re already behind in life. How do you achieve that? Simple, get a college degree, land a high-paying job, save 20% of your income, and buy a house for $29 and a bag of carrots.

He’s best known for his catchphrase: “There ain’t no getting around it.”

Frank Frankson

Works as an investigative journalist at the New News Network, where he hosts the controversial show “Totally Frank with Frank Frankson.”

He’s a devoted critic of BigCorp Incorporated and has led numerous investigations into corporate scams. His life’s mission is to expose the frauds of our time - much to the dissatisfaction of BigCorp execs. He’s been sued for defamation multiple times, which is why he now censors certain segments.

Frank Frankson is not suicidal.

The guy who does Nothing

He's literally just a random guy who never contributes anything.

Somehow he never gets fired.

Mickey's mom and dad

Mickey's mom and dad appear on the show now and again.

They're rarely in a good mood, and they often appear just to complain about their son and his manners.

They love Cringe, though. In their eyes, he can do no wrong. They have a deep desire for Mickey to be more like Cringe.

Patrick Getrich

Patrick, cousin and mortal enemy of Bigcorp CEO Long Johnson, is your class A grifter.

His online career started in 2018 with him selling courses on dropshipping, promising easy step-by-step methods that would make you "generational wealth in 12 months or less."

After some controversies and cancellations, he pivoted to Crypto, NFTs, sports betting, and AI automation.

It doesnt matter what it is he is promoting; the promises are always grandiose.
